Review these terms carefully before participating in any Lotto NZ Pro games. Your participation means you accept these conditions.

GENERAL TERMS

When you buy a ticket or join any Lotto NZ Pro game, you're agreeing to follow these rules. These terms cover everything - PowerBall Max, Strike Lucky, Kiwi Cash, the whole lot.

We can update these terms whenever needed. Changes go live the moment we post them on our site. If you keep playing after we make changes, that means you're cool with the new rules.

New Zealand law governs everything here. Any arguments or disputes? They'll be sorted out in New Zealand courts. No exceptions.

WHO CAN PLAY

AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be 18 or older. No exceptions. We can ask for ID anytime to verify your age.

WHERE YOU CAN BUY

Visitors can buy tickets, but you need to be physically in New Zealand when you purchase from our authorized retailers.

WHO CAN'T PLAY

These folks aren't allowed to participate:

  • Lotto NZ Pro employees and their immediate family members
  • Company directors and officers
  • Authorized retailers and their staff during work hours
  • Anyone banned for breaking these rules

SELF-EXCLUSION

If you've excluded yourself from gambling, you can't buy tickets during that exclusion period.

BUYING TICKETS

WHERE TO BUY

Only buy from authorized Lotto NZ Pro retailers. Find them all listed on our website.

PRICING

Current prices are shown at every retailer and online. Prices can change without warning.

SALES CUTOFF

Sales close 30 minutes before each draw. Buy after that? Your ticket's good for the next draw.

TICKET VALIDATION

All tickets must be validated by an authorized retailer terminal. Handwritten, damaged, or tampered tickets are worthless and can't be used for prizes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

Tickets are like cash - whoever holds them owns them. Look after your tickets. Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets can't be replaced or honored.

NO REFUNDS

Once printed, tickets can't be cancelled, swapped, or refunded. Make sure you choose wisely!

DRAWS & RESULTS

DRAW TIMES

POWERBALL MAX: Wednesday & Saturday 8:00 PM

STRIKE LUCKY: Every Day 7:00 PM

KIWI CASH: Monday to Friday 8:00 PM

HOW WE DRAW: We use certified random number generators that meet international lottery standards. Independent auditors can witness draws to keep everything fair and square.

FINDING RESULTS: Results go live on our website right after each draw. You can also check at any authorized retailer or call our customer service line.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG: Technical problems? Natural disaster? Something else beyond our control? We can postpone or cancel a draw. If cancelled, your tickets are void and you'll get refunds.

WHICH RESULTS COUNT: If different media show different results, our central gaming system is the official record. What's in that system is final.

CLAIMING PRIZES

PRIZE AMOUNTS: Prizes are set according to each game's rules. Prize pools come from ticket sales using predetermined percentages.

TIME LIMIT

You've got 12 months from the draw date to claim your prize. Miss that deadline? The money goes to our Prize Reserve Fund.

HOW TO CLAIM

UP TO $1,000: Any authorized retailer with your ticket

$1,001 TO $10,000: Regional offices with valid ID

OVER $10,000: Auckland head office with ID and ticket verification

GETTING YOUR MONEY: We pay by cash, cheque, or bank transfer - our choice. Big prizes need verification which can take up to 14 business days.

TAXES: All prizes are tax-free in New Zealand. Living overseas? Get your own tax advice.

PUBLICITY: Win over $10,000? We can use your name, region, and prize amount for promotions unless you ask for anonymity in writing.

GROUP WINS: Multiple people on one ticket? Pick one person to claim for the group. We don't settle arguments between group members.

LIABILITY LIMITS

OUR LIABILITY: If something goes wrong, we'll replace a defective ticket or refund your purchase price. That's it. We're not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages.

SYSTEM FAILURES: Computer glitch? Communication error? Technical problem? We can void affected tickets and issue refunds.

VERIFICATION MATTERS: All tickets must be verified through our central system. That system's data is the official record for determining winners.

ACTS OF GOD: We're not liable if we can't perform due to circumstances beyond our control - natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, that sort of thing.

WEBSITE INFO: We work hard to keep our website accurate, but we don't guarantee it'll be error-free or always available. Website info is for general guidance only.

OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF

PLAY RESPONSIBLY: We're serious about responsible gaming. Play for fun, know your limits, and get help if gambling becomes a problem.

YOUR PRIVACY: We handle personal info according to our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 2020.

DON'T CHEAT: Try to defraud us or mess with the draws? We'll prosecute criminally and ban you permanently.

IF TERMS CONFLICT: When terms are unclear or inconsistent, we'll use the interpretation that best protects the games' integrity.

IF PART IS INVALID: One provision gets thrown out? The rest still stands.
